The Malawi University of Business and Applied Science (Mubas) has become the third university in Malawi offering degrees in law.
The institution has called for applicants for 2023/24 academic year.
Until 2021, the only accredited university which was offering law degrees was the then Chancellor College, now University of Malawi.
In 2021, the Catholic University of Malawi also got accredited to offer the degrees.
One of the country’s lawyers Khumbo Soko, who is also former president of Malawi Law Society, has commanded the development by writing on his Facebook page described the development as “interesting times”.
“This of course will have profound implications on the legal services market and how it will be regulated,” he said.
