The world football governing body FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on South African top-flight Premier Soccer League (PSL) rookies Polokwane City until the club settles a dispute with its former Malawian international Khuda Muyaba.
The former Flames striker was contracted to club for three years, having joined the Limpopo side in January 2020, but the striker terminated his employment in March this year when he went several months without his salary being paid.
This, as per FIFA rules, was a breach of contract on City’s side and the club now joins a long list of PSL teams to have faced FIFA’s wrath following a similar sanction handed to Kaizer Chiefs, Moroka Swallows, Royal AM as well as Chippa United, according to Sabc Sport.
