A woman in Nkhotakota has been arrested for insulting a police officer on social media.
Nkhunga Police Spokesperson Andrew Kamanga said a 24 years old lady identified as Anastasia Kamanga has been arrested on suspicion of insulting the Nkhunga police officer on facebook page called “Zokonda amayi macheza” on 25 November this year.
Kamanga has said that Anastasia has been arrested today on November 28, 2023 and she will answer to the charge of insulting a police officer which is in violation of section 86(a) of the internet act.
Anastasia comes from the village of Denja in the area of senior chief Kanyenda in Nkhotakota district.
