Minister Mkandawire Demands Apology from Nankhumwa for Allegations on Malawian Youths in Israel

Minister of Defence Harry Mkandawire is demanding an apology from Leader of Opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa for what he deems an irresponsible statement regarding Malawi’s youths allegedly going to Israel.

Mkandawire revealed that he has received numerous inquiries from around the world questioning the veracity of claims that Malawi is sending youths to participate in the Israeli-Palestinian War.

In response, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo has urged Nankhumwa to retract the allegations.

However, as of now, Nankhumwa has not withdrawn the statement or issued an apology, and parliamentary proceedings have continued with the day’s agenda.
