Agriculture Minister Sam Kawale has said has confirmed that the police have arrested 12 people in connection with this year’s Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP).
Kawale, who is addressing the media in Lilongwe, said some of the cases are in court while others will be in court soon.
Kawale said one case has been concluded and the suspect has been fined. He said the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has received 35 cases relating to the AIP.
Kawale said all things being equal, the AIP programme will be concluded by Christmas.
