Some top officials of the opposition Democratic Progressive party (DPP) led by the party’s spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba are today scheduled to hold media briefing regarding the impending convention slated for this month.
The briefing comes barely days after the estranged DPP Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey also addressed Malawians where she announced that the National Governing Council of the party will meet this week in preparation for the elective conference.
According to Jeffrey wa Jeffrey, the NGC is scheduled to appoint a committee which will be in charge of the preparations of the elective conference.
But reacting to the Jeffrey’s remarks, Namalomba said the address was not sanctioned by the party President Peter Mutharika.
Namalomba then urged party supporters to ignore Jeffrey’s remarks.
