Spokesperson of former President Peter Mutharika, Shadreck Namalomba has accused Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South Kondwani Nankhumwa of playing a big role in the loss of the party’s 2020 fresh Presidential polls.
Namalomba made the claims during an exclusive interview with Zodiak Television on Monday evening.
In the interview Namalomba said Nankhumwa and the estranged DPP Secretary General Grezelder Jeffrey have been conniving to kick out Mutharika some top officials out of the party.
“Let me tell you this Nankhumwa and our Secretary General contributed positively for us as DPP to be kicked out of government in the 2020 Fresh Presidential polls. These two people are power hungry but what they should know is leadership comes from God,” said Namalomba.
Turning to the call for the National Governing Council (NGC) meeting this coming Wednesday, Namalomba claimed that Jeffrey wa Jeffrey’s statement was not sanctioned by the party leadership.
He said Jeffrey wa Jeffrey is acting on her own with an intent of bring confusion in the party.
Namalomba has since called on party supporters to ignore Jeffrey wa Jeffrey’s call for NGC meeting this coming Wednesday.
