Principal resident Magistrate court in Zomba has adjourned Bon Kalindo’s case to Friday, 8th December 2023.

This follows, the defense lawyer’s request at the court of Principal Resident Magistrate, Martin Chipofya, who ruled that he will present his argument on the bail application on the said date and also informed that the other party involved in the case should present their arguments at the same time.

On Kalindo’s side, represented by Timothy Chirwa, they requested Kalindo to be released on bail while on the government’s side, they requested a five-day adjournment to conclude their investigations on the matter.

Kalindo was arrested in relation to the recent demonstrations in Zomba and Mangochi where protesters engaged in running battles with the law enforcers, damaging government vehicles in the process.
