Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary-General, Greizeder Jeffrey, has stated that she is yet to receive any communication from her party about her dismissal from the position of Secretary-General.

Jeffrey made these remarks during a DPP press conference in Lilongwe, accompanied by the party’s spokesperson, Nicolas Dausi, and other party officials.

Jeffrey, who was fired and replaced by Clement Mwale, laughed when asked about her dismissal.

Party president Peter Mutharika announced Mwale as the new SG, while Jeffrey was appointed Vice President of the party for the Central Region.

Jeffrey expressed confusion over her firing, stating that she is expected to attend the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting in her capacity as SG today.

Dust continues to refuse to settle in the DPP as the convention days draw close, and the outcome remains uncertain.
