Government though the ministry of labour has revealed that only 65 out of the 47 000 ex-miners seeking compensation from the South African government have so far accessed their terminal benefits.
Agnes NyaLonje Minister of Labour  has confirmed the development and told the Parliament today that names of 61 other ex-miners have been pended for lack of other information.
The sentimnet has been made as response to a question asked  by presentative for Machinga North East member of Parliament Ajilu Kalitendere, who said the delays to pay the group has worsened their plight.
Among others, the Minister said government has signed a memorandum of understanding with the South African government to find a lasting solution to the problem which she described as complex.
