Mighty Mukuru Wanderers has given 24 hours Football Association of Malawi, Competitions Committee, to hear their complaints and if not, they will seek remedial action in the Civil courts, to suspend Airtel Top 8 Cup matches.

The nomads were booted out of the tournament after they failed to fulfill their fixture against Silver Strikers on Wednesday at Kamuzu Stadium.

According to a letter signed by Council David Kanyenda, they have given FAM 24 hours to hear their appeal and if they failed to do so they will take legal action in civil courts to suspend the Airtel Top 8 tournament.

“Facilitate prosecution of our client’s Appeal before the appeals committee in terms of article 14, Halt any Airtel Top8 Cup fixtures pending determination of the appeal, Cease and desist from making misleading statements to media, if not, we will seek remedial action in the civil courts,” reads part of the statement.

On 7 December 2023 FAM, confirmed that wanderers lost their tie against Silver 4-0 on aggregate as they were also declared 2-0 losers in the first leg for causing match abandonment.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets awaits in the finals, while Silver Strikers is set to face MAFCO in the Semi-Finals on December 10th at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
