Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has blasted veteran politician Ken Msonda for bringing confusion in the party.
Mutharika said this during the National Governing Council (NGC) meeting currently underway at Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.
In his speech Mutharika plainly told Msonda that he better stop the “stupidity” or else he should go back to PP, where he came from.
“Mr Msonda you were not part of us when we were being teargassed and arrested during the reign of Dr. Joyce Banda. You were dying with Joyce Banda so if you want to remain in the party you better stop your nonsense,” said Mutharika who was visibly angry.
Mutharika also blasted leader of opposition in Parliament Kondwani Nankhumwa for spending years suing the party.
He said the party has lost a lot of money paying lawyers to defend cases brought to court by its own members.
