Veteran politician Ken Msonda has declared interest to contest as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the North during forthcoming elective conference of the party.
Msonda declared his interest after the National Governing Council (NGC) meeting which was presided over by former President Peter Mutharika in Mangochi.
The opposition DPP is scheduled to hold the elective conference from December 26, 27 2023, according to the resolutions made during the NGC meeting.
Msonda is scheduled to face former Minister of Health Jappie Mhango who is also vying for the post of Vice President in the North.
