United Transformation Movement (UTM) has lifted it’s suspension which it imposed on the party’s Regional Secretary for the north Jane Mbale following her acquittal on a case she was accused of aiding illegal immigrants.

The Party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying that the re-instatement means that she will revert to her position.

On her part, Mbale has described the party’s decision as a milestone in making her to contribute to the party’s manifesto ahead of the 2025 general elections.

In April last year, the party suspended her pending investigation and court’s verdict on the alleged misconduct in line with party’s constitution article 22.
