DPP Councillor Leonard Chimbanga arrested

Unconfirmed reports indicated that Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ward Councillor for Blantyre City Soche East Ward Leonard Chimbanga has been arrested.
It is said that Chimbanga has been arrested for possessing unlicensed gun.
Chimbanga, member of the DPP’s National Governing Council and critic of the Tonse Alliance Government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is currently being kept at Soche Police in Blantyre after being denied bail.
He will appear in court soon.
