Man Arrested For Possessing Illicit Drugs In Lilongwe

Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 50-year-old man for being found in possession of six blisters and a sachet of powder substance suspected to be cocaine.
Lilongwe Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu has confirmed the arrest and identified tha suspect as Owen Black.
According to Chigalu, Police received a tip-off from well-wishers and then detectives followed the suspect to a rest-house at Kaphiri where he had booked accommodation.
The suspect was found with the suspected dangerous drugs hidden in a bag along with two car-breaking tools.
Chigalu has since disclosed that the suspect has told police that he got the illicit drugs from Zambia.
