The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has called off the much awaited elective conference which was scheduled to take place on December 26 and 27, 2023 in the Eastern District of Mangochi.
The development follows a court ruling extending period for the opposition DPP to hold elective conference.
DPP spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba has confirmed of the development in a statement released today made available to this publication.
According to Namalomba, the National Governing Council (NGC) will met next year to set new date for the elective conference.
