President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has directed full military honours for the burial of former cabinet minister Lee Mlanga.

Mlanga died on Monday and a vigil is taking place at his Chileka residence, where a funeral service is expected to start at around noon today.

Burial will take place at HHI Cemetery this afternoon.

President Chakwera has delegated Minister of Information and Digitalisation Moses Kunkuyu to represent him at the ceremony.

Late Mlanga served in various portfolios in the cabinet of former President Dr Bakili Muluzi and in 2003, his last appointment was Minister of Labour and Vocational Training.
