Scorchers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets women’s forward Vanessa Chikupila has completed a permanent transfer to Zambia’s top tier women’s team Green Buffalos on a one-year loan deal.
According to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets media, Chikupila has signed a one-year contract with the Lusaka-Based side which plays in Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s Super-division.
Chikupila joined the women’s people’s team in 2022 after the club completed the acquisition of Blantyre Zero.
The Fast-paced attacker played a pivotal role in helping Bullets to win the 2022 Football Association of Malawi women’s football after netting 43 goals.
Despite Bullets finishing second in the just ended southern region FAM women’s league, Chikupila finished as a top goal scorer after finding the back of the net 46 times.
Chikupila becomes the second player to join Green Buffalos this year after Ireen Khumalo of Silver strikers’ women joined the same team.
The forward was part of the Malawi National Women’s Football squid which won their first ever COSAFA Women’s Championship in South Africa.
