Police in the eastern region have asked people who live in the region to follow the security measures that police have put in place during this Christmas season and the New Year Eve.
The eastern region commissioner, Violet Magwaya made the request during a prayer ceremony that was held by the police at the police collage in Zomba, as part of encouraging a life of respect for Jesus among police especially during this Christmas season.
They have assured the residents of the region that security will be strict during this season and have asked people to celebrate with care by ensuring that their lives and property are safe.
