A 20-year-old man, Trevor Mhone, committed suicide at his house in Mzimba District.

Mzimba Police Station spokesperson Peter Botha says the deceased, residing at LEA Primary School within the boma, went out for a beer drinking spree.

However, after returning from a drinking joint in the early hours, Mhone started shouting at his parents and later proceeded to his house.

In the morning of Sunday, his father decided to check him hanging at the roof of the house, lifeless.

The body of Mhone was taken to Mzimba District Hospital, where it was revealed that he died due to strangulation secondary to hanging.
