Spokesperson of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has accused the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) of sponsoring leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa to bring confunsion in the party.

Namalomba said this during media briefing at the party’s regional office at Naperi in Blantyre.

He also quashed claims by Nankhumwa that the party is planning to remove them from their positions.

Namalomba has also blamed Nankhumwa for dragging the party to court on several occasions and says Nankhumwa is free to leave the party.

Concuring with Namalomba’s remarks DPP Vice President for the South Dr. George Chaponda said it is not true that the party intends to remove some of the party’s leaders from their positions.

Chaponda said DPP is led by a constitution that the party adheres to, hence assuring the party’s members that no one will be fired from their positions.
