Former Flames coach Kinnah Phiri has advised Flames Mantor Patrick Mabedi to resolve the conflicts that seems to exist with Gabadinho Mhango before the upcoming international matches.
According to Phiri, the current Flames team does not have a striker who has the expertise to score goals like Gaba and it is too early to rule out Mhango from Flames as he still has capacity to help the team.
Phiri further stated that Mabedi should put aside his differences with the attacker and sort out his issues with Gaba to work towards achieving a common goal ahead of the upcoming tight international schedule.
The former flames gaffer also urged Mabedi to seek advice from former Flames players as this can help him to deal with issues like the Mhango’s case.
Mhango was suspended last year after he missed his flight to Ethiopia from South Africa to join the squid that was expected to face Liberia on 17 November 2023.
The Moroka Swallows Star is yet to play under Patrick Mabedi’s mentorship, His last appearance in Flames jersey was on March 28 when Malawi lost 4-0 to Egypt.
Malawi is expected to face Sao Tome and Principe, Namibia, Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia in the World Cup qualifiers.
