National Oil Company of Malawi (Nocma) board of directors have appointed Micklas Reuben as deputy chief executive officer (DCEO) of the parastatal.
An internal memo to Nocma members of staff signed by chief executive officer Clement Kanyama shows that Reuben assumed his role on December 8 2023.
Reads in part the memo: “Meanwhile, Mr Reuben will continue to discharge the functions of the post of director of operations until further guidance from the board.”
In November 2022, Nocma board of directors appointed Reuben as acting chief executive officer (CEO). This was after former DCEO Helen Buluma’s contract was terminated on November 15 2022.
