FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have completed a quadruple after beating Mafco 2-1 in the Airtel Top 8 Cup Final at Kamuzu Stadium.

Lanjesi Nkhoma gave the peoples team the lead in the first half before Nickson Nyasulu scoring an own goal to level matters and in the 70th minute Nkhoma scored a second goal from a rebound after Mafco keeper Christopher Mukuwa saved Nyasulu’s penalty.

Speaking after the victory, bullets coach Kalisto Pasuwa said he was delightful to achieve this milestone and attributed the success to the team’s togetherness

“The reason for all this has been the togetherness, and this motivated the boys to win it for the management, their fans and everyone associated with this team. It has not been us only, but if you can see the rapport that was there amongst us, it made us sweep everything, which was there for all teams to battle, said Pasuwa.

The win means that Maule have repeated a triumph which they managed in 1973 to conquer all the domestic tittles which were there to fight for.

The 2023 season, Bullets managed to win every trophy in the land after they successfully retained both the Super League and FDH Bank Cup before last week’s victory against Silver to win the Castel Challenge Cup at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
