First grade Magistrate court in Lilongwe has convicted and sentenced two men to spend 4  years imprisonment with hard labour for being found guilty of stealing 22 sets of Ceramic sink worth K3, 366, 00 at Bingu National Stadium (BNS).
The court heard facts through the State Prosecutor Sergeant Moses Stephano who  identified the convict as Chikondi Mapulanga and Clement Gidson.
Stephano told the court that the convicts committed the offence between the months of July and August, 2023 where the duo went away with the pillage.
Appearing before court, both convicts pleaded guilty to the charge of theft and First Grade Magistrate Amran Phiri, senteced each to 4-years imprisonment with hard labour as deterrent to other would be offenders.
Chikondi Mapulanga is 35 year-old hails from Kawoche village, Traditional Authority Kabudula in Lilongwe and Clement Gidson is 28 who hails from Chiwamba village, Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe.
