Two men, Labani Aaron, 38, and Petros Makwenda, 47, were arrested today at Nkwazi trading centre in Mchinji for allegedly possessing 68 bags of counterfeit fertilizer.

The arrests were made based on information provided by vigilant community members, demonstrating the importance of community involvement in crime prevention.

Mchinji police publicist Limbani Mpinganjira announced the arrests, highlighting the collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community in maintaining security.

The suspects, residents of Nkhwazi village in the area of T/A Mavwere, now face legal consequences for their alleged involvement in the possession of counterfeit fertilizer.
