Malawi Police Services (MPs) has launched manhunt for a suspected incident of theft of materials from a motor vehicles belonging to the ministry of Transport and Public Works which was on its way to Mwanza for official duties.
It is being reported that on on Wednesday 24 January 2024, unknown criminals jump into a moving vehicle Nissan Croner registration number MG 476 AL and stole taplin and carpet at Laundi Village along the Zalewa-Mwanza M6 Road around 11pm.
However, MPS has asked those who like commenting on security issues in the country to seek correct information from the department to avoid feeding Malawians with local information.
The Services has intensified its effort to apprehend the suspects and and recover the stolen items, reads the statement.
