Old Mutual Malawi Limited has presented MK2.5 million to Beit Cure International Hospital to support this year’s Night to Shine Gala slated for today, Wednesday 31, 2024 at Amyllies Hotel in Blantyre.
The event is aimed at instilling hope into the people with disabilities, especially those aged between 14 years and above.
Speaking after the handover ceremony Old Mutual Life Assurance Company Managing Director Roy Punungwe said Beit Cure’s dedication to transforming the lives of children with disabilities is very crucial hence the support.
“The Night to Shine event significantly represents a beacon of joy and inclusivity greatly demonstrating that disability is not inability.
“We are hopeful that this event as it has been the case, will create an unforgettable experience for individuals who often face unique challenges, and our support will help to illuminate the night with love,” said Punungwe.
Punungwe said Old Mutual will continue supporting Beit Cure.
On his part Beit Cure International Hospital Executive Director Elly Chemey hailed Old Mutual for sponsoring the Night to Shine event.
He said the sponsorship will go a long way in raising awareness of their services.
The hospital is set to host over 35 children at their Night to Shine dinner scheduled for this evening at Amyllies Hotel.
