Blue Eagles Football Club head coach, Elia Kananji, has confirmed that he will not leave the Club despite being relegated to the country’s second-tier league (Chipiku Central Region League).

The development has come after rumors the Kananji will leave Blue Eagles for Dedza Dynamos.

Speaking to times radio, the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets mentor disclosed that he will not leave area 30 as his contract is due in December 2024.

“I signed a two- year contract with Blue Eagles, and it will expire in December 2024, so I can confirm that I will stay at the Club until my contract expires,” said Kananji.

The 2022 TNM Super League runners up, were relegated from the country’s Elite league on the last matchday of the league after suffering a 2-1 loss to MAFCO at Nankhaka Stadium.
