Following a dispute at a local bar in Ndirande, Blantyre, Kennedy Salimu, a 24-year-old bottle collector, was arrested by police for allegedly stabbing his colleague multiple times.

The victim, who suffered deep wounds from the attack, was promptly taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Sergeant Maxwell Paul Jailos, the Ndirande police spokesperson, disclosed that the altercation between Salimu and his co-worker escalated into a physical confrontation, leading Salimu to wield a sharp knife.

The incident unfolded during a disagreement between the two workers, which quickly turned violent, culminating in the stabbing.

Salimu was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after the altercation and now faces charges related to the stabbing incident.
