Armed Police Officers blocks DPP MPs from entering Parliament

Information reaching this publication indicates that heavy armed police officers have blocked 24 Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmakers from entering the gates of Parliament Building in Lilongwe.
According to the MPs, the police officers have been told by the office of the Speaker that the lawmakers were given marching orders yesterday.
The DPP MPs have since blocked the gates of Parliament thereby blocking other MPs from entering the premises as well.
