Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, founder of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Jesus Nation on Wednesday distributed maize to over 1,000 hunger stricken families in Lilongwe.
The maize distribution in Lilongwe comes barely days after the Man of God announced that will be distributing maize to over 1 million hunger stricken individuals across the country.
Speaking after the exercise Bushiri urged well-wishers in the country to join forces with the Tonse Alliance Government of President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in bailing out Malawians.
He then hailed government for allowing him to reach out hunger stricken families in the country with the free maize.
Member of Parliament for Lilongwe Mpenu Constituency Eisenhower Mkaka and one of the beneficiaries Setilida Lazalo from Matala village have thanked Prophet Bushiri for the timely support.
Bushiri is also scheduled to distribute the free maize in the South and North of the country in the coming days.
