President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is tomorrow scheduled to leave the country for Namibia to attend the funeral of late president for that country Hage Gottfried Geingob.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to this publication.

According to Tembo, the plane carrying President Chakwera and his wife Monica is scheduled to depart Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) at 8:30am.

The funeral ceremony of late Hage is slated for this coming Sunday.

Chakwera is expected to return home same Sunday at around 17:30hrs.
