Police at Liwonde in Machinga district have arrested fellow police officer on suspicious that he allegedly stole a cellphone belonging to a certain security guard at Ulongwe Admarc in Balaka district
The suspect has been identified as Constable Blessings Patrick who works at Ulongwe police station.
It is being reported that the suspect borrow a Techno Spark 8 cellphone from the guard in past few days as he wanted to call his brother who stays in Zomba.
Patrick failed to give back the gadget to the owner as he spent two days holding it with no reasons.
When police launched its investigation, the found that the suspect is also holding another phone which is also believed to be stolen.
Blessings Patrick is 41 years old hails from Chilewe Village in Dowa District
