A political science lecturer from the University of Malawi Ernest Thindwa is advising the Tonse Alliance administration to rise to the occasion and respond to a pastoral letter by the Roman Catholic Bishops.

The Bishops through the Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) has criticised President Chakwera and his administration for failing to end corruption and improve the economy.

This is contained in a strong worded pastoral letter titled ‘The Sad Story for Malawi’.

Meanwhile, the Public Affairs Committee spokesperson Gilford Matonga proposes a serious engagement between the government and the Bishops.
