Police at Lumbadzi in Lilongwe have arrested two men for suspecting them kidnaping Christopher Daza over debt issues.

Spokesperson for Lumbadzi Police Station Sergeant Felix Kwinyani, has identified the two as identified as Robin Njobvu and Same Phiri.

According to Kwinyani, the two approached Christopher Daza (kidnap survivor) from his working place at Kanengo Macsteel Company in order to collect money amounting to K10, 000 which they loaned him with an interest fee last year.

“Due to other misunderstandings, the two forcibly drove off their motor vehicle to Lumbadzi – Kasungu M1 road to an unknown destination where they threatened to deal with him accordingly.

Upon reaching at Kamuzu International Airport Junction police traffic check point, Daza jumped out from the moving motor vehicle, prompting police traffic personnel to rush after the suspects’ motor vehicle and arrested them.

The two will soon dragged to court answer kidnapping charges for abducting a man which is contrary to section 259 of the Penal code.

Njobvu hails is 46 years-old hails from Mchezi village while Same Phiri is 30 hails from Mkwachuka village both from the area of Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe.
