The Zimbabwe Republic Police are seeking assistance to identify and locate a man captured on camera in 2020 threatening President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The resurfaced video, which went viral four years ago, prompted the police to launch an investigation into the matter.
In the video, the unidentified man brandished a gun and expressed his intention to shoot President Mnangagwa, citing grievances over governance and the economy.
The man later claimed that his account was ‘hacked’ by members of the opposition MDC party, alleging that they manipulated the video to suit their agenda.
Authorities have appealed to the public for any information on the individual seen in the video, urging individuals to report to the nearest police station.
