President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is today scheduled to preside over the official opening of the state-of-the-art International Blantyre Cancer Centre in the city of Blantyre.
The mult-billion Kwacha cancer centre whose key partner is the Thomson and Barbara Mpinganjira Foundation, is expected to make cancer treatment and services affordable to Malawians.
The facility will have capacity to treat 30 radiotherapy and 10 chemotherapy patients daily in its first phase of operation.
