Deputy Head Teacher Held for Alleged Defilement of 14-Year-Old Student in Rumphi

Rumphi police authorities detain Wonderson Shaba, 34, following accusations of defiling a student over a three-month period.
Confirmed by district police spokesperson Sub Inspector Noel Kamchenga, the alleged incidents occurred between November 2023 and February 26, 2024.
Authorities acted after the victim’s mother reported her daughter’s ordeal, leading to the suspect’s arrest and medical confirmation of the defilement.
The suspect is expected to appear before court soon.
