Former Deputy Secretary General of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Ephraim Mganda Chiume has joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Chiume joined MCP together with former lawmaker for Nkhata-Bay Central Constituency Ralph Mhone of Peoples Party (PP).
The two were welcomed into MCP fold at a function held days ago at Mzuzu State Lodge, according to inside sources.
DPP is currently faced with massive exodus of its top officials due to the infighting in the party ahead of 2025 polls.
Meanwhile, DPP leader Peter Mutharika is scheduled to address Malawians tomorrow.
