Consumers are scrambling for sugar in some shops in the country following reports of the commodity’s scarcity on the market.
In a video which is circulating on social media, is showing some Mzuzu residents fighting to get one packet of sugar in mzuzu shoprite.
For those who were lucky, were able to purchase and those who were unlucky failed to buy.
However, scarcity of sugar has forced retail shops to sell one packet of sugar per customer which is going at k2000 but some vendors are selling it at k3000.
