Man Arrested for Allegedly Chopping Off Ears of Maize Thief in Salima

Police in the lakeshore district of Salima have arrested a 31 year old Madalitso Kalibe on allegation that he chopped off ears of a 68 old Man who was found in his farm stealing Maize.
According to Salima Police spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate the incident happened on 11th of this month at Mkwera village T/A Ndindi in the district.
Ndiwate said Kalibe, so the said Man in his maize field stealing Maize and he threw a stone at him injuring the victim on the arm.
He then went further to cut off his ears with a very sharp knife.
Meanwhile the victim is receiving medical treatment at Salima district Hospital.
