52 Ethiopians Arrested for Illegal Entry into Malawi, No Valid Travel Documents Found

Immigration officials in the Northern Region have apprehended 52 Ethiopians suspected of entering the country illegally due to lack of valid travel documents.

According to Francis Chitambula, the Northern Region Public Relations Officer, all the suspects are males who were discovered in a 20-tonner vehicle owned by SKYLIGHT Logistics Company.

Chitambula reported that the vehicle was located in the Mkombezi area of Rumphi District.

Meanwhile, the suspects are set to appear in court to face the charges against them.
