DPP Deputy Director of Elections Joins UTM, Cites Trust in Chilima

Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) Deputy National Director of Elections, Mavuto Kachali, has made a significant move by defecting to United Transformation Movement (UTM).
Kachali’s decision to join UTM was influenced by his desire to work closely with the party’s president, Saulos Chilima.
Nengezi Ziba, UTM’s regional governor for the north, warmly welcomed Kachali into the party during a ceremony at his home in Mzimba.
Kachali expressed his reasons for leaving DPP, emphasizing his confidence in Chilima’s leadership and vision.
Ziba highlighted the importance of Kachali’s defection, noting that it reflects a broader trend of growing trust in Chilima and UTM.
