The Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) is this year clocking 100 years of service in the country this year and the celebration will be held in Lilongwe and Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

The centenary celebration has been pegged at MK250 million and all churches in the country have been asked to help in raising the funds.

General Secretary for Nkhoma Synod, Vasco Kachipapa said CCAP members in Malawi should be excited with the function as the celebration could have taken place in other countries but instead the celebration will take place here in Malawi.

“as a Synod we have been honoured that the celebration will take place here in Malawi. The event could have been taken place in Zambia or Zimbabwe but it will take place here in Lilongwe, Malawi we are more than happy”, he said.

Briefing the media in Lilongwe, mwawi chilongozi said that the centenary celebrations will be held on August 24-25 this year at Civo stadium in Lilongwe.

He further mentioned that the church is hoping to see members of CCAP contributing more towards the function.
