The Malawi National spelling Bee and Good neighbours have signed two years partnership to promote educational standards and improve literacy levels in the country through national spelling bee competition.

Good Neighbours country Director Gyo Jin Joo explained that, they are willing to provide materials and money towards the program and hopes their support will yield fruits.

Spelling Bee’s Chief Executive Officer Lewis Mbaula, who is also the chairman of African Spelling Bee, said the partnership is instrumental in promoting the competitions as many learners in hard to reach areas will be exposed both nationally and internationally.

The partnership is targeting 13000 students from all the stages of the spelling Bee contest.
