The High Court in Lilongwe has adjourned the Allan Wittika murder case hearing until April 9th, as High Court Judge Mzonde Mvula has reservesd the bail ruling for the accused, Lester Maganga.

State witnesses, including Paul Mvula, a driver at Bambino Private School, testified about the murder scene in Area 15, with Mvula recalling seeing a person in a red shirt on the phone inside a vehicle.

However, the State faces difficulties in communicating with one witness, Mwayiwawo Personi, leading to delays.

Despite presenting video footage during cross-examination, Mvula could only confirm the color of the person’s shirt.

Defense lawyer Lusungu Gondwe expressed frustration over the State’s delays in providing disclosures, hindering progress in the trial.

With approximately four witnesses remaining to testify, the case’s adjournment marks another chapter in the ongoing legal proceedings.
