Police in Ndirance have shot dead a suspected unknown man suspected to be thief for allegedly break in Deputy Police Commissioner of South West Division Mavuto M’bobo’s residence in Nyamabdwe.
South West Police Region spokesperson, Joseph Sauka has confirmed the development and the man (now deceased) was with his friend on 1st April night when jump into M’bobo fence while holding dangerous tools and they suddenly met police officer who were already there doing their night duty.
When the two met the officers, they started fighting one another to find the way of escaping the scene.
When the fight reached the climax, police shoot one of the thieves and the one fled the scene.
The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital where he pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Police have launched manhunt to apprehend the fled accomplice.
