Mother Netted For Pouring Boiling Water On Her Son For Cooking Potatoes Without Her Consent

Police in Dowa have arrested a 35-year-old woman for allegedly pouring hot water on her 13-year-old son Horres Bikinao.
The suspect, has been identified as Mrs. Chimwemwe Kayera of Guma Village, Traditional Authority Nsakambewa in the District.
According to information shared by Dowa Police Station, husband to the suspect Mr. Bikinao Nkhoma, 38, residing in Chiwoza village in the same area lodged a complaint following the incident.
The case was reported on April 5th, 2024 at around 08:00 hours.
Currently, preparations are underway to create a case file for the suspect’s remand while the victim, is presently under medical care at Dowa District Hospital.
